“But blessed is the man who trusts me, God, the woman who sticks with God. They're like trees replanted in Eden, putting down roots near the rivers— Never a worry through the hottest of summers, never dropping a leaf, Serene and calm through droughts, bearing fresh fruit every season.” -Jeremiah 17:7-8 MSGI just saw this as I went to Bible Gateway to look up another verse, and what a great reminder. We plant roots in an unending source of nourishment, in a source which supports us regardless of what other external circumstances come our way.
Sometimes, it can feel like the winds wear you down, or the drought around you might actually reach your core and suck the life right out of you. We've all been there. The most important thing in situations like that is to stay connected to the source of life- that connection with our Creator is what sustains us. Be blessed by the living water as you draw your strength from Him.
