Next week, I'll be leading a team of 30 on a mission trip to Huntington, WV. I'm pumped- we've got a solid group of kids, some awesome leaders, and a great place to sweat for Jesus! We'll be partnering with Huntington Area Food Bank, and Crossroads UMC has graciously allowed us to stay at their church next week. Big ups to them! Anyway, I wanted to post our trip itinerary, and I'm asking for your prayers for our team and the ministry we'll be doing.
Sunday, July 26, 2009:
1:00 PM Leave from CCUMC
5:30 PM Stop for dinner
8:30 PM Arrive in Huntington, WV
Monday- Thursday July 27-30, 2009
8:00 AM Breakfast
8:30 AM Morning devotions w/ Pastor Julie
9:00 AM Head to Huntington Area Food Bank
12:00 Break for Lunch
12:45 PM Back to work!
4:00 PM Head back to CRUMC
6:00 PM Dinner
8:00 PM Evening Worship
11:00 PM Lights out
Friday, July 31, 2009: MYSTERY DAY!!!
9:00 AM Breakfast
9:30 AM Morning devotions with Pastor Julie
10:00 AM Pack and clean up, load the bus
11:00 AM Head out for Mystery Day!
11:30 AM Lunch at a top secret location
12:30 PM Head to another top secret location
6:00 PM Eat some mysterious food
8:00 PM Hit the road, Jack! Head back to CCity
5:00 AM Pull into CCUMC parking lot with some tired kids!
