what is gigitastic?

A lot of you may be wondering why I switched from “Accidental Methodist” to “Gigitastic.” After all, “Accidental Methodist” is extremely catchy and unique [and clearly the author is extremely humble haha].

For some reason, I was starting to be known in the blogging world. People were paying attention which is awesome, but instead of quoting "Kara," they were quoting me as “the Accidental Methodist.” It started to make me feel weird... did I accidentally become Methodist? yeah, kind of. Do I want to be known as The Accidental Methodist? not so much. It was just meant to be a catchy title, not my whole identity, and after chewing on the issue for awhile, I decided to make a change.

Another weird thing about "Accidental Methodist" was that people were classifying my blog as a "Methodist Blog." If you've been around here for 5 seconds, you know that very rarely do I post anything having to do with being Methodist. In fact, this may be one of like, 3 posts, out of 254. So that was a little weird, too. I just don't want people to get the wrong impression about my thoughts being associated with the Methodist Church. That's all :)

So, the birth of gigitastic. It makes me smile, it's fun to say, and it reminds me of some of my favorite people ever, who gave me the nickname "Gigi" a few summers ago. It fits where I'm at in life now, and I love it. It'll still be the same posts- it's not like I'm going to stop talking about Jesus, Dogzilla, and my random adventures. It just won't be associated with a denomination. Because, as we all know, Dogzilla is Pentecostal =]
