My plans have already changed some regarding the trip- I was planning on going to see Matt Costa at the House of Blues in Anaheim, because, well, I like to sing his songs obnoxiously loud in my car. I didn't plan on half of California also wanting to see him, since like, 5 people in Indiana know who he is. Tickets are sold out, and now I have a free night. I looked for a replacement option, and the only other shows I've heard of are The Faint [electronica 80s pop], Mandy Moore [ummm...], and Twiztid [Insane Clown Posse/ Slipknot-ish]. COOL, GUYS. So i'm just going to bum around Hollywood Boulevard/ the Sunset Strip that night. I'll have 2 main items on my agenda:
1. Find some ridiculous yet wonderful gifts for friends/fam.I'm excited for Sunday- going shopping at Larchmont and checking out The Little Seed. I love their blog, and I'm not going to lie, I've been praying to Jesus every night that I'll run into the owner. Soleil, if you read this, make sure you go to work on Sunday :) I'm also hitting up the Warner Brother Studio tour tomorrow afternoon, and I'm pretty geeked out about it. 2.5 hours of cinematic nerd bliss... Dear Jesus, please let there be all kinds of crazy tourists on it with me! It's so much more fun when everyone's into it.
2. Avoid getting hit by Lindsay Lohan's car.
It's been hitting around 100 degrees in Los Angeles this week, but there's supposed to be a cold front coming in, bringing it to high 60s- mid 70s, which is PERFECT. I'm unbelievably excited, and a little nervous, since it's the first time I've ever done anything like this by myself. Then again, that's exciting too- a challenge! I'm so grateful for opportunities like this. AMAZING. And since tomorrow's an EARLY DAY [leaving the house at 2:30 AM], I'll catch you guys tomorrow morning, giant bucket of coffee in hand.
