Encouragement

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. -Phil. 4:19
God keeps speaking this into my life. It's not news that I struggle with being financially responsible, and during the current economic situation, I have to get my butt in gear. I have to trust that God is in control. He blessed my life today, and I wanted to share it with you guys so you could see that God truly provides for us, even when we're unsure of the outcome.

I've been struggling with being sick for awhile, but it's amped itself up in the last two weeks. It's felt like I've had an elephant sitting on my chest, and it's just been frustrating because my schedule doesn't really allow for rest. I've put off going to the doctor, because I always end up having to take some $100 prescription, and that's not really something I can foot the bill for these days. But, I knew I needed to see a doctor, so I headed over to Fort Wayne today.

I got checked out, and found out that my allergies are trying to basically suffocate me. My body thinks all air is bad air due to the allergens in it, so my trachea has tightened and my lungs are only taking in minimal amounts of oxygen, while storing "old air" in them. In other words, my body is naturally holding its breath. The doctor gave me a breathing treatment, a shot in the bum [which is NOT as funny as it sounds!], and two different prescriptions. I knew the bill would be huge. I knew it would be hard to swallow, but I also know how important it is to breathe, so I sucked it up.

My total bill for the day was $10. TEN DOLLARS! One prescription was free, insurance covered my doctor's visit, and the other prescription was only $10. GOD IS GOOD!
And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Granted, my medicine makes me feel all out of whack [7 pills today, 6 tomorrow, 5 the next, etc etc], but God is good and I can breathe. I spent the afternoon reading [Multiple Blessings by Kate Gosselin], which felt so good since I haven't done that in a long time. Kate's book kept going back to the Philippians scripture and God's provision, and I knew He was speaking into my life.

Regardless of what happens in life, God is looking out for us. CLING to this promise! God is amazing and will NEVER let you go!
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." -Romans 8:28
