Cash Money

I figured I should address the ads on my sidebar [down at the bottom]. It's a new feature of the blog, so let's talk about it :)

I signed up with Google AdSense today. It adds advertisement on the side of your blog, and you can generate money from it. People say free money doesn't exist, and yeah, I don't have control over what ads pop up, but it will display ads based on things you normally search for anyway [or it might be generating them based on page content]. When I look at it, I see all Church websites.

Anyway, for some diehard bloggers, it makes me a sellout. It doesn't generate a TON of revenue, but anything would be better than nothing. I'm okay with that though, because in this economy, I'd almost tattoo someone's business logo on my body if they'd pay my student loans/rent. ALMOST, Mom (she gets finicky about tattoos, but one day I'll convince her! haha)

in other news, Andrew Evans just called me, and he's one of my favorite people in the galaxy, so there.

but for real, I recommend adding AdSense to your blog, especially if you have a lot of traffic. And since traffic helps, it'll help me post more often. It's paid accountability :)

to anyone else using it, what are the downsides to AdSense?
